The month of the couples. Built on the sign of two, the energy of February is urging towards communion in two. At the heat of the fire, a she and a he celebrate love as if anticipating the spring that is to come. The sun is not so glacial either, and among the snow patches, the snowdrops make their appearance two by two because February is the month of the couples.
The second month of the year in the Gregorian calendar. It is the shortest month with 28 or 29 days (29 in leap years). The name of the month is related to the ritual of cleansing that was performed annually on February 15th (in Latin Februaris = purification, cleansing). In the Romanian tradition, the month of February is called “Făurar” (translated it means “The forger”), the name being related to the iron-workers who prepare the work tools before spring.
